第1次コンゴ戦争でモブツ独裁政権を滅ぼした反モブツ派（AFDL）のリーダー、ローラン・カビラは、自分を支援してくれたバニャムレンゲ（ルワンダからの難民。AFDLの主要メンバー。）やルワンダ、ウガンダを排除し、恩を仇で返し始めたため、バニャムレンゲはAFDLから抜け（これでAFDLはオワコン化し、消滅しました）、コンゴ民主連合（RCD）を結成して反乱を起こしました（1998年）。
アンゴラ内戦と一体化したり、鉱物資源の獲得を目指すノリで介入する国が出てきたりと、紛争は一気にカオス化し、アフリカ大戦とまで呼ばれてしまいました。
一回停戦（ルサカ停戦協定/1999年）しますが秒で無効化し、ローラン・カビラが暗殺され（2001年）、息子のジョゼフ・カビラがRCD（他にもいた反カビラ派のリーダー）と話し合いし（1回目：アディスアベバ対話/2001年、2回目：サンシティ合意/2002年）、お互いに仲良くし、軍隊を撤退させる感じで終戦しました（プレトリア包括和平合意/2003年）。
この紛争は600万人の死者を出し（だいたい民間人）、第二次世界大戦（今までで最悪の戦争。死者8000万人）以降最悪・史上有数の最低な紛争になりましたが、旧モブツ独裁政権の協力者（アンゴラ反共グループ/UNITA、ルワンダ虐殺犯人/インテラハムウェとか）のオワコン化をもたらしました（今でもゲリラはいますが、消滅寸前です/キヴ紛争、イトゥリ紛争）。
このように、現代史上最低の紛争においてさえも、主の恵みと働きはあるのです。

Laurent Kabila Leader of Anti Mobutu Group (AFDL) that destroyed Mobutu Dictatorship Administration in 1st Congo War began repay evil for good by remove Banyamulenge (Refugees from Rwanda. Main Members of AFDL) & Rwanda, Uganda, so Banyamulenge withdrawn from AFDL (Through this, AFDL turned outdated & fade away) & formed RCD & rebelled (1998).
Conflict became Chaos like unified with Angolan Civil War & some nations intervened to Conflict for get Mineral Resources, & it was called Great War of Africa.
Cease fire once (Lusaka Ceasefire Agreement/1999), but it was disabled in moment, & Laurent Kabila was assassinated (2001), so his Son Joseph Kabila dialogued with RCD (Leader of Anti Kabila Group that there were others also) (1st: Addis Ababa Dialogue/2001, 2nd: Sun City Agreement/2002), & ended the War through reconcile each other & withdrawn Army (Pretoria Accord/2003).
This Conflict killed 6 Million People (Most of them are Civilians) & became Worst War after WWII (Most Terrible War till now. 80 Million People were killed) & One of the Worst War in History, but Cooperators of Former Mobutu Dictatorship Group (Angolan Anti Communist Group/UNITA, Criminals of Rwandan Genocide/Interahamwe etc.) turned outdated through this (There are Guerrilla now, but they will be fade away soon/ Kivu Conflict, Ituri Conflict).
