コンゴでは、1960年の独立の後、モブツが中立派（ルムンバグループ）と南部（カタンガ、南カサイ）をボコし（コンゴ動乱）、国名をザイールと改め、反共独裁者として君臨していましたが、その圧政に対し、カタンガの残党（コンゴ解放民族戦線/FNLC）が、アンゴラ（1975年、共産主義の下で独立）の支援を受けて立ち上がります。
FNLCは最南部一帯を解放しますが、兵士たちが略奪や殺人などの余計なことをしたせいで西側諸国にブチギレられ、ボコされました。
この紛争は、現代南部アフリカ最悪の紛争・アンゴラ内戦（1975〜2002）の一部で、またモブツの独裁悪化の原因になりましたが、同時にウガンダの問題児アミンがザイールと組んだことで、東側に嫌われ、彼の失脚の原因の一つになりました。

In Congo, after independence on 1960, Mobutu beat up Neutralists (Lumumba Group) & Southern (Katanga, South Kasai) (Congo Crisis), & changed the name of Nation to Zaire, & reigned as Anti Communism Dictator, but Remnants of Katanga (FNLC) stood & uprose against its Tyranny, with Support of Angola (Independent with Communism on 1975).
FNLC liberated Southernmost Area, but Soldier committed superflous like Robbery, Murder, so it was hated & beat up by Western Nations.
This Conflict is part of Angolan Civil War (1975-2002) Worst Conflict in Modern Southern Africa & became one of the cause of aggravation of Dictatorship of Mobutu, and at the same time, Problem man of Uganda Amin supported Zaire, so Eastern Nation hated him & it became one of the cause of his end.
When I tried to understand all this, it trouble me deeply till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny. (Psalms 73:16-17)
