明治維新に協力した地域の一つ・佐賀で起きた反乱で、日本（明治）政府が武士の特権を奪う改革を実施したことで、怒った士族（旧武士）たちが起こした反乱です。
技術力に優れた日本（明治）政府が勝利しました。
この2年後には、神風連の乱（熊本）、秋月の乱、萩の乱が起き、東京でも動きがありましたが、暴動レベルで終わり、すぐに鎮圧されました。
もし西南戦争（次回参照）とセットで発生していれば、かなり長期化し、士族側が九州の大半を制圧していた可能性があります。
ただ、薩摩軍（西南戦争の主役）ほど強い信念は持てていなかったので、勝利できた可能性は低めです。

It is Rebellion that be occurred in Saga One of the region that cooperated for Meiji Revolution, & it was provoked by Reformation of Japanese (Meiji) Government that took Special Rights of Bushi (Samurai), & angers of Shizoku (Former Bushi) that be provoked by it.
Japanese (Meiji) Government that so superior to Technology has won.
2 Years later from this, Rebellion was occurred in Kumamoto, Akizuki, Hagi also, but it was only Riot level & be suppressed immediately.
If it was occurred with Satsuma Rebellion (See next), it became longer & Shizoku Army will captured almost whole part of Kyushu.
But they didn't have strong thoughts like Satsuma Army (Main of Satsuma Rebellion), so possibility of their victory is low.
